Every student who walks through the hallways of Varina High School has
his or her own success story just waiting to be heard. The Varina Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)
is fortunate enough to watch these stories unfold and become reality. However, we could not be able to
help make these stories come alive without the support of our community. We invite you to contribute to the 2011-2012 Blue
Devil Pride Fund.
This past school
year, the PTSA was able to award $4000 in scholarships. This year we would like to double that amount.
You contributions will help us reach that goal.
Your
contributions will also allow the Varina PTSA to:

Recognize and support the VHS faculty and
staff
· Recognize students for academic achievements
·
Participate in the National PTA’s
Reflection program
· Sponsor the After Prom event held each year as well as other programs held throughout the
school year
These are just examples of what the PTSA can do with your
help. Our goal is to meet the National PTA average and spend between $20 and $25 per VHS student on programs, materials, and
special events.
